Review (And Giveaway!): SHEEX™ Bed Sheets

A few months ago, Mateo & Harper’s godparents gifted them each with SHEEX™ fitted crib sheets and blanket, billed as “the first luxury performance bed sheets...inspired by the finest professional-quality athletic fabrics." They are breathable, moisture-wicking (very useful, especially with Mateo, a hot box!), and they are so soft that they make 600+ thread count cotton sheets feel like brand new...sandpaper.
Back when we were crib sheet shopping, I read the preferred crib sheets had elastic all the way around, yet I could never find any. So we settled for some nice 200 thread-count cotton sheets with elastic at the corners from a name brand store. Had baby SHEEX existed back then, it would have been a no-brainer because baby SHEEX has elastic all the way around, ensuring a snug fit around the crib mattress.
Plus, now that we’ve had the cribs converted to toddler beds a while, the unparalleled stretchability (microfiber + lycra, think Under Armour material) of the baby SHEEX allows us to easily place their crib bumper/rails underneath the sheet, something a bit more problematic with standard crib sheets.
Baby SHEEX fitted crib sheets retail for $49.50, and yes, that's pricey, and yes, we got ours as a gift, BUT they are incredibly fade- and shrink-resistant, and we use them as often as they are clean. On laundry day, I’ve been known to launder them after the kids' nap just so that we can put them back on their mattresses before they go to bed that night.
